How to dress Christmas tree lights correctly?

When it comes to Christmas tree decorations, the world seems to be pretty much the same. Christmas tree is used by evergreen trees, mostly four or five feet high small palm tree, or small pine, planted in a big pot inside, the tree is full of colorful candles or small electric lights, and then hang a variety of decorations and ribbons, as well as children's toys, and family gifts. When it's decorated, put it in the corner of the living room. If it is placed in a church, auditorium, or public place, the Christmas tree is larger, and presents can also be placed under the tree.

The sharp tops of Christmas trees point to heaven. The stars that dot the tree tops represent the special star that led the wise men to Bethlehem in search of Jesus. The light of the stars refers to Jesus Christ who brought light to the world. The gifts under the tree represent god's gifts to the world through his only son: hope, love, joy and peace. So people decorate Christmas trees at Christmas time.

How long before the big day should they be put up? Is a fake one acceptable? Should decorations be classy or kitschy?

At least one thing we thought we could all agree on was how to light the tree, right? Wrong.

But apparently this is wrong.

Interior designer Francesco Bilotto claims Christmas lights should be strung on a tree vertically. “This way every tip of your tree, from branch to branch, will twinkle with delight, it will prevent lights being hidden behind branches.”

Bilotto advises we start at the top of the tree with the end of the string of lights, drape them down to the bottom before moving the string three or four inches to the side and going back up the tree. Repeat until you’ve covered the whole tree.

As Christmas holiday is coming, just have a try!
